Gavin's Baptism

My nephew Gavin was baptized on 8/02/08. It was like no baptism I had ever been to. His father passed away 4 and a half years ago so he wasn't able to baptize him. We all felt such a strong presence that he was there in spirit. It is these special times in his kids lives that I feel that Ryan is allowed a little glimpse in. There was such a feeling of comfort and peace. It was also great to have Ryan's family there. They remind me so much of him. Gavin is so lucky to have so many people in his life that love him. We are all pulling for you Gav. Gavin and Grandpa

Everyone that came to share in this special day.

The kids had to break out the Rock Band. The little kids pretended to play, while the older ones battled it out.

This is the face Braxton has when ever he dances, sings, or pretends to rock out with an instrument.

My brother would kill me if he knew that I posted this picture. But come on, how could one resist.
Here are some more pictures of Gavin's baptism day.

The Mud Hole

This summer I have thanked the neighbors several times on how grateful I am that they put a huge sandbox in their backyards. Every night I get to shake the sand out of the kids pockets. One day Tyson and Braxton came home to get their swim suits. Their clothes were covered in mud. I decided to follow them back to see what they had got themselves into. I could say that it is just boys being boys, but from the pictures you will see that the rule doesn't apply here.

They had fun pouring buckets of mud water all over each other.

Tyson was done with the mud by the time I got over there.

This is not a five year old doing push ups. He thought that this would be a perfect way to get the mud off.

Looks like Dad found a better way.

The older kids decided to stay away from the dirt. Thank you Kayden.

This summer we have had a picnic on almost every Sunday. The boys love to sit outside to eat. I decided to change the scenery a little. After church we loaded up and went up the canyon. It is so great to live where we do. We have so many different canyons to choose from. We picked a nice spot with lots of shade.

I know you can tell I took this, but isn't it so cute.

This is great shot by mom.

Dad played a little trac ball with the boys.

And of course, how could we keep them from the stream.

Tyson and Braxton had fun pulling rocks from the water.

They piled the rocks on the grass and then sang and danced around them.

Braxton is really getting into it.

I kept Easton away from the stream in fear that he might fall in. He enjoyed kicking it on the grass.

It wore him out.
