Waterton Lakes, Canada

Every year we try to go up to Waterton Lakes. It is a beautiful resort up in the mountains. It's great to take a picnic and enjoy the outdoors. The kids like to throw rocks in the lake. This year Kayden wandered up a trail a little to far and had to be found by Tyler. Grandma and Grandpa Hawkins got to spend a few hours up in Waterton with us. Here are some of the pictures that I took.

Our picnic in the sun. Grandpa wished that we could have found some shade.

I LOVE THIS PICTURE.

Tyson using his climbing skills again. HELP!

I think they were looking for Kayden.

Grandma and Grandpa enjoying a quiet afternoon.......Wait, how could it be quiet with our little guys.

Braxton was not happy about sitting down in the lake. That was the end of him wearing pants for the rest of the day.

I took these three for a short hike up above some water falls.

Tyson retrieving his shoe after he kicked it into the no go zone.

Mom with her four boys.

The deer in Waterton have no fear of people. Some will walk right up to you.

A mother deer with her two fawns. One of the fawns was running up to Tyson until he scared it. I was glad that he scared it away because the mom started to act a little protective.

Enjoying a little ice cream.

Easton loved every minute of this. Look at the color of that ice cream. That is why his dad was holding him.

Digging for Worms

Tyson and Braxton had a blast digging for worms. Tyson thought that he needed to bring one home for a pet. I had to convince him that we had plenty of worms at home. Despite the fact that mom spoiled their plans, they spent a couple days digging for worms.

Braxton holding his new slimy friend.

Tyson with his worm house.

They had to display the worms at the screen. I wonder why no one wanted worms in the house.

Family Picture

We decided to take a few pictures after the parade on July 1st. I took advantage of having someone else take the photo. I'm the one always behind the camera and never in front. We are all dress in our parade shirts. I thought it would be cute to spike the kids hair with red colored gel for Canada Day. Tyson got so mad at me after I did it. He refused to leave the house until I took it out. He said it looked stupid and that he didn't want anyone to see him with it red. It didn't matter how many people told him it was cool, he was not budging one bit. He hide under the table until I agreed to wash out the red. I guess he did take after his mother. Stubborn and determined to get his own way. So that is why all the others had red and Tyson was blond.

This one is almost perfect.

A mother and her prize possessions.

At least we have a variety. One day I will learn to cut and paste faces in and out of my photos.

Picture with Grandma and Grandpa Hawkins

Back in July of 2005, I decided to take a picture of the grandkids with grandma and grandpa. This year I thought it would be cool to take the same shot. This one had plenty of extra kids.
LorRee and Brian with three of their four boys. Maybe it will be easier when mine are older.

Lisa, what it is like to have two.........I forgot like three years ago. Look at how cute they are.

This is the picture back in 2005. They all did such a great job.......and then there was now.

Easton didn't want anything to do with it. First, Jason tried to hold Easton.

Still not working. Kayden knock it off. Braxton over here. We even lost Grandma due to the distraction.

Second, Grandma tried to tame the beast......Put your arms down in the front.

Let's see if Grandpa has the touch.

I guess there is always next year.

Swimming with Cousins

We took the kids into swim at the hotel their cousins were staying at. It has a water park inside the hotel. It has a kid area, two water slides, and a wave pool. The kids have a blast every time we go.

I don't think Easton liked the pool too much.

Braxton loves the water. He is proud that he can dip the front of his face in the water. He has to show Tyson all the time so that he can get his older brothers approval.

Tyler trying to convince Kayden to go down the water slide. I took him down it a couple years ago and he hasn't desired to do it again. Tyler didn't convince him.

Tyson is our water boy. He loves to go under water.

Kayden and Cole in the hot tub.

Braxton and Tyson warming their feet.

Easton letting us know that he has had enough.

The adults kicking it on the side of the steamy pool.
